Our MAP Classroom is dedicating their 8th year legacy project to Vermiculture this year. Vermiculture is a special way of composting that uses Red Wiggler worms. The worms eat organic matter, and then their waste becomes soft and nutrient rich soil. The MAP students will be working with each of our classrooms to set up a small composting bin to utilize daily. The MAP students will also help educate the younger students on the process and its benefits. If the project is successful, the classrooms will use it in multiple ways to benefit our gardens and flowerbeds around campus and we will even be able to sell some to local businesses and families!
